The platform was created in 2022 with the support of USAID Industry Led Skills Development Program and serves the financial sector human capital development needs.

The $24 million, five-year USAID Industry-Led Skills Development Program addresses the mismatch between employers’ needs and the skills available on the Georgian labor market. USAID incentivizes businesses in high-growth industries to co-invest in innovative skills development to increase industry-level productivity and create high-value jobs. To help achieve these objectives, USAID has launched 30 partnerships to date with companies, business, and sectoral associations.

In the meeting Banking Association of Georgia presented project achievements and strategic vision. Representatives of commercial banks, microfinance organizations, various sectorial associations and partner organizations participated in the event.

Alexander Dzneladze, Banking Association of Georgia President, Marica Olson, USAID/Georgia Economic Growth Office Director, Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Nikoloz Gagnidze, National Bank of Georgia Vice-President welcomed participants with their speeches. They underlined USAID contribution to Georgia high value jobs creation and also outlined the importance of Financial Sector Skills Development platform existence.

Financial Sector Skills Development Platform project manager Salome Makaridze presented current achievements and future outlook of the project. Afterwards, panel discussion was held. Nino Chikhladze, Liberty Bank HR Director, Nino Okhanashvili, HR&OD expert and Sergo Nozadze, HR Professionals Association President participated in the panel discussion. Panel was moderated by Levan Gogoladze, Financial Sector Skills Development platform learning coordinator. The meeting was wrapped up with final comments by Alexander Dzneladze.
