USAID Project: A Skills Development Platform supported by USAID

The Georgian Banking Association and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Program Employers for Vocational Education have signed a grant agreement.

The Banking Association of Georgia and USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program signed a grant contract.

The contract aims at creating and piloting financial sector skills development platform under the Association.

The grant was issued within the frames of the USAID five-year Industry-led Skills Development Program.

The goal of the program is to develop human capital for the prioriy sectors of economy. Imbalance between demand and supply can be observed in quick succession on the employment market.

The Banking Association of Georgia, taking into account the needs and interests of financial institutions, has created a skills development platform for the sector. The platform will train present and potential employees in the most needed and required skills.

Significant training programs such as cybersecurity, IT development, data analysis, etc. may be taught within the frames of a pilot program.
